1. Fostering cultural safety- from awareness to action

  • Learn the fundamentals of cultural competency and how to apply that to emergency practice
  • Gain a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture and history, and closing the health gap
  • Use narrative therapy to facilitate and collaborate on building cultural safety in the ED
  • Learn how to be an effective ally and become a better emergency medicine practitioner

2. Ultrasound guided Regional Anaesthesia in the ED: Fast, Focused & Fearless

  • Break It Down Together: Dissect the challenge. Call out bias, civility gaps, and systemic barriers. Ask: What would cultural humility—and Indigenous wisdom—look like here?
  • Solutions That Stick: Design bold, practical fixes to take back to your ED tomorrow.
  • Reflect & Lead: Name one Indigenous cultural lesson you’ll carry forward to change how you lead, connect, or advocate in the ED.
